When it comes to spotting the northern lights, Tromsø is the perfect destination in Norway. But it takes experience and knowledge to land at the ideal viewing spot. Don’t worry! With NorthernShots Tours, you get this and the chance to learn photography techniques from professional photographers. Their Aurora Chase tour guarantees a higher potential of viewing the lights in all their glory, so bring your family and friends along for a unique experience.

The tour begins at the organizer’s office in Roald Amundsens plass 1A, Tromsø, where participants must arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. Here participants will board the ride for the night, and start the journey to the best locations, where there is a greater chance of catching the lights in the sky.

The guide is well-versed with the best viewing spots in Tromsø and will leave no stone unturned to give you the best experience. If needed, the guide will also take you beyond the borders to Finland, searching for a clear patch of sky to view the aurora. The guide will share facts about the northern lights throughout the ride and teach you the best techniques to capture this celestial phenomenon.

Once you arrive at the viewing spot, the guide will show you how to load and set your camera or phone to get the best pictures possible. The tour includes hot drinks and cookies as refreshments.
